No Connection with a 2wire homeportal HG1701

So i have linux mint daryna and it wont detect my internet connection. I have at&t and my modem is a 2wire homeportal HG1701

Does it pick up other connections? Because I have no trouble with mine.

No. But when i plug it in it says there is a wired connection but its not connected to the internet
