I don't think InputDevice should be in Section "ServerLayout"
I also feel uncertain about Section "Files" and Section "Module"
and I don't have the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb but that's got nothing to do with your touchpad
There is a driver called synaptic(s?) for touchpads which is installed by default in Elyssa but I don know about earlier editions
Search for synaptic in synaptic
