iPod nano 3rd gen problems with Elyssa

Hi everybody,
I've got an iPod Nano 3rd generation and I'm experiencing some problems in transferring mp3s to it.
I'v used any type of software (Rythmbox, Floola ecc), and everytime it's the same: whenever I even connect my iPod to the computer, or try to transfer some music to it, the iPod software crashes, so when I turn it on, I can't see my music anymore!! All my music seems to have deseappeared!!!

Anybody can help?

There is a tutorial for Daryna in the how to section, but if it works for Elyssa I don't know

I had a problem that sounds exactly like the one you are having. Mine appears to have come from an older version of Banshee borking an id file Apple added to keep 3rd party apps from working reliably .

I used this solution from the Amarok wiki (which came from the gtkPod wiki):

This got gtkPod syncing with my nano 3G again. Now I only use gtkPod to sync and the music/photos always sync over without all of my music disappearing off the iPod.
