Geforce GTX650 ti Boost tearing problem has it been fixed?

Postby Terminal(ly)-Ill on Fri Jul 26, 2013 10:49 am

Hey everyone I'm currently having a problem with tearing when watching high quality video(mainly anime) on Mint 15. I recently switched to 15 after using 12 for 1.5 years and it was an amazing experience only when I switched to a new graphics card, the gigabyte geforce 650Gtx ti boost version and installing the newest nvidia drivers I just can't seem to get the tearing to go away. I tried mplayer, smplayer, vlc none works and also while searching came across this thread:

Has this issue somehow been solved? I have been forced to switch back to Windows which is terrible considering I fell in love with using linux all the time as my multimedia pc, I don't want to go back to windows! Please someone help!

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
