USB Headphones

Postby nippley on Fri Jun 27, 2008 4:27 pm

Hi
Been using mint for afew days now, my USB mp3 player and thumb drive work but my Logitech headphones have no sound. The strange thing is I can use the volume control on the headphones to control the speaker volume... so i guess the headphones kinda work :?

Info I get when I use "sudo lsusb"

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is just a few thoughts so far
Please check all settings for sound - in the control center, the volume control and possibly the apps you use
If you have "mixed" settings I suppose things like this happens
But there is an amplifier in the headphone....
What's the rest of your hardware?
Run lspci and post it
Is this Elyssa? Pulse audio behaves differently, it's supposed to handle multiple sound streams simultaneously...

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
