amd cool n quite questions

Dear users hi!

I own a desktop P/C (amd athlon 64 x2 6400+, asrock alivesata2-glan, evga nvidia e-geforce 8800 gt 512mb, 2x1gb ddr2, 320 hdd sata2...), dual boot (windows xp home sp3 & linux mint Elyssa). My BIOS is set to amd cool n quite and at windows i see that is working when i set the power scheme to "presentation". How i can see if is it working at linux mint too? Also i use a utility (evga precision utility) to adjust the fan of video card. Is it any similar utility for linux mint too?

Not sure about the cool n quiet, I run an amd 64 x2 5000+, and a PNY geforce 8800 gt, I use nvclock to adjust fan speed...its not as nice as RivaTuner for windows but does the job. It has a hardware monitor feature for monitoring your card temps but for me it shows 8° Celcius cooler than a panel applet Im using.

You can add the CPU frequency applet to the panel to see your CPU frequency. And yes, cool'n'quiet works in Linux Mint 5.
