Dell provides drivers because of their Ubuntu connection for free, but are known to cause sound problems: http://linux.dell.com/files/ubuntu/hard ... m_i386.deb You can also get them from Linuxant. They have a free version that is locked in at 14.4Kbs, or a paid version(19.99 US). I think they also cause the sound problems though. After installing and rebooting, use this to get it setup: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Dialu ... 2d430f2a02 Start at the "Alternative Way 1 (using wvdialconf & wvdial)" section.

Are you using gnome-ppp, or just wvdial to connect? Try to get an error message as to why it is not connecting.
