Mad Dog External Burner - Linux Friendly?

I can pick this (link below) usb external burner up for $39.99 at Radio Shack. Does anyone know if it is compatible with Linux From searching the web, I wouldn't be surprised if this model is now discontinued or about to be. Is the price right

From what I can see here - http://www.linux1394.org/hcl.php?class_id=4 - I think I will pass on Mad Dog.
