No bluetooth adapter found

Postby leac3 on Wed Dec 11, 2013 10:35 pm

Hi, I have read a lot of threads about this problem but they don't provide a solution.

I have used Xubuntu 12.10 for one and half year without problems with my built-in bluetooth. Today, I installed Mint 16 Cinnamon 64-bit but bluetooth didn't work (I use BT to use my mouse).

When I went to System Settings -> Bluetooth, the window shows: "No Bluetooth adapters found". I have turned on the wifi, but the problem has not been solved.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C655-S5339. It does not have a button to turn on/off the BT. The BIOS is up-to-date.
Following some forum's threads of xubuntu, mint and others linux, I have installed without success to my problem:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get installed bluetooth gnome-bluetooth blueman

And I have runned: sudo bluetoothd -restart without success.

I have a similar issue on Mint 13 Cinnamon 64-bit, but with different outputs. The adapter works fine in my Toshiba laptop running Ubuntu 13.04 32-bit.

I've got the same identical problem with my bluetooth mouse, a microsft sculpt comfort mouse.
With Mint 15 Cinnamon, everything used to work fine, I just had to add a line into my pin-code-database.xml file to resolve the auto pairing problem, but now the mouse can't be detected, not even with
Code: Select all
sudo hidd --search
.

What's strage is that blueman can detect the device.
