Hibernation -Not enough Memory

Postby kirsch92 on Sat Aug 02, 2008 4:41 am

So I want to Hibernate. don't we all?

As it was trying to do so, so messages appeared, one of them being "Not enough memory"
Which seems odd since I have 1 gig of Ram, and 2 Gig of Swap. Perhaps I need 2.5 Gig?

Is there a log file or some way to output that message, so I can get a better look at it, for more than the 1/4 second it's on screen?

Thanks,
Jeremy

You need a swap that is large enough for your memory because everything in memory is written to a file in swap
logs can be found in /var/log - I don't know which contains anything from hibernation...
