Hello everybody!
I have an Asus Eee 900 with Linux Mint and I don't know how could I do to use the webcam. I have installed a modified version of Linux Kernel (it supposed to has the correct drivers to Eee's hardware: http://www.array.org/ubuntu/index.html), but its the same... it doesn't work.
What could I do??
Thanks a lot for your time.

Re: Webcam problem with Asus Eee PC 900
Hi !
Have I missed something ?
I've never managed to get the webcam running under Ubuntu/Mint on the EeePC series ....
Mike.
I've hunted around the URL you pasted above and I cannot see any support for webcams included in the package list ?Sanva wrote:Hello everybody!

Is not uvcvideo module a driver to manage the webcam?? (In 2.6.24-20-eeepc is now available! at http://www.array.org/ubuntu/index.html).
Re: Webcam problem with Asus Eee PC 900
Hi !
Here's the definitive support list, http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/ ... what make is the camera in your EeePC ?
Looks like it's nowhere near complete yet though as a lot of support is still listed as "Partially" supported.
Mike.

I'm looking for that information, but I haven't found anything... (yes, even in the manual... it hasn't information about hardware like the webcam).
But 5 minutes ago I have read in the Wikipedia that the webcam is compatible with Debian: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asus_Eee_P ... ng_systems.

Re: Webcam problem with Asus Eee PC 900
Hi! I have fixed the problem... And I think I'm quite stupid... The webcam was disabled in the BIOS
Trying to redeem myself, I think that first I had had problems with the webcam and I disabled it in the BIOS... later I did something that fixed it trying to fix another thing (maybe the eeepc Linux Kernel: http://www.array.org/ubuntu/index.html)... and now I have gone to the BIOS to check something and I realized that I had the webcam disabled...
Thanks for all!
