As the name may indeed suggest, what would the best Wifi card be to buy. Keep in mind this is a notebook pc. I am buying a new one, and obviously wifi is a huge deal for me, as it is a portable computer, and being plugged into a ethernet socket is well, not portable haha. So, just some suggestions. (I mean, vanilla kernel, so it works just straight up. Thx guys:)

Well - it's hard to say "the best" but did you check the wiki?

Everyone is recommending wifi cards with an Atheros chipset.
They even hired 2 people to start making linux drivers, the guys who was making them in the 1st place.

The linux drivers are pretty good at the moment and will be getting better.
I suggest a card that isn't too new.

Belkin sucks and has problems with the signal quality.
It has less signal quality in linux than it deos in windows, with the same hardware.
