List of Mint-Friendly Hardwares?

I think the title of my post says it all already. I plan to get myself a new computer soon (quite probably next month) to replace my aged Pentium 4 box and I'd want to install Mint on it. Thus I think it's a very good idea if I can browse through a list (or lists) of Mint-Friendly hardwares and choose amongst those on the list to ensure the best compatibility with the OS.

Or, the opposite type of list (Mint-Hostile hardwares) would also help. Does anyone know whether such a list exist?

More information is always better. So if anyone has link to more information on this, please let us all know.
