Help with a Dell Inspiron 1526

I just installed Mint the other day and all my interfaces were in the network connection utility. but when I tried getting on today it froze up a few times during boot and now my WiFi card isn't being detected. I ran the lspci command and it didn't show up there. can anyone help me? thank you!

Reboot
If still no luck I begin to suspect hardware failure
If you have dual boot with Windows boot into Windows and back again, Windows can sometimes do things to firmware that Linux can't because the specs are not given to the developers
