I am talking about my present computer, not a new one.
For this computer, I am dual-booting Windows 7 and Linux Mint 17. I have an 80GB drive that holds the OSs together as well as their respective software.
Now, I saw an ad from a local computer franchise shop Canada Computers and found another 80GB hard drive.
I also have an external, but that's not relevant to the question I have.
Now onto the question: if I added a second hard drive to the system and deleted the original LM17 partition from the primary 80GB drive, would I be able to put LM17 onto the second hard drive? Would that be valid?
I have no fear of Secure Boot messing up the dual boot as my current computer is not made with UEFI.
So, again, the present question(s): can I put the GNU/Linux OS onto the new drive, or do they have to be together on the primary one?
Thank you.

Linux OS can be installed in many places, second drive, third drive...USB drive, USB flash , etc.
