Questions about hardware,drivers and peripherals
The other day I restarted my computer and logged in, but after I had logged in the keyboard stopped working for some reason. I tried using other keyboards but the same thing happened with all 3 keyboards I tried. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it? Is it something to do with my computer hardware wise, as in the socket being faulty? Or would it be something with Linux that is stopping it from working properly?

This is posted from another computer?
If you only have Elyssa KDE installed you can find out if the keyboard works by trying to enter the BIOS
Mostly it's Del that's used, sometimes F10, sometimes ESC and sometimes any of the other special keys
You should see something like "Press Del to enter setup" early in the boot process
Generally boot would stop with a lot of beeping however without a keyboard
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
