Cannot mount harddrive

Postby Jinnai on Fri Oct 17, 2008 2:24 pm

I've been trying to mount one of my HDs. Originally it was NTFS. It wouldn't mount then in Mint, so I went to windows copied everything over and formatted it. Then rebooted to Mint. It still wouldn't read it. So I reformatted it yet again with GParted to XFS and rebooted and it still won't mount.

It displays on Nautilus as "SCSI device" and won't mount it.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This looks a bit like a bug with SATA drives that's long gone..
What happens if you double click it in Nautilus?
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
