NVIDIA Driver Problem

Postby wallowinthemire on Sat Oct 18, 2008 11:26 pm

Hi, I had been having some issues with the NVIDIA driver and enabling the proprietary driver. Envy had not been working for me, so I manually installed the driver that I downloaded from the NVIDIA site. This works perfectly, but whenever I restart, my computer is again unable to detect my graphics card--I was wondering if anyone could possibly help with this? I'm not really sure what is even going wrong, and I've been trying to find a solution to the problem for some time now.

Pleas, please provide details when you ask for help
Which nvidia card?
Possibly the rest of your hardware is of interest - run lspci in a terminal
Which version of Mint (exactly)?
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
