expresscard esata harddrives - unmountable!

Postby kwazi on Sat Oct 25, 2008 7:53 pm

i have been trying to mount a couple of harddrives attached to my computer through an expresscard54 esata card. they managed to show up, for a very short time and they were unable to be mounted either because i did not have permissions or because they were unrecognized. I could not get Linux to force-mount them.

can anybody help me?

thanks in advance

More facts please
Which Mint?
Which hardware?
A laptop I presume
With the expresscard54 connected run lspci and post the result
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
