Cannot write to USB Memory Stick

Postby RBKK on Mon Nov 03, 2008 11:45 pm

Since last updating my Mint OS I'm unable to write to a USB memory stick.

Have tried three different flash drives, reformatting (vfat), and chmod and chown commands do not work - drives are always mounted as root.

Maybe related to hal?

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Cheers,

Rich.

Seems to work ok after copying the following line to the bottom of /etc/fstab

/dev/sdc1 /media/sdc1 vfat,ext3,ext2,reiserfs noauto,users,exec 0 0
