Epson Stylus SX105 on Felicia

Postby Andrass on Thu Nov 27, 2008 1:25 pm

I might have done a stupid thing by buying a printer without first checking if it's supported :(

Does anyone have a tutorial or any idea on how I can set up my Epson Stylus SX105? I don't care about the scanning, I just need printing to work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have an Epson DX4850 (Multifunction) and the printer and scanner mechanism was from an earlier printer. I have had a look and it would appear that the cartridges for the D78 and D92 printers would work in the S series. I am not sure if drivers are available for those two machines but you could try. If you are unable to find this driver have a look at this. http://sylvarwolflinux.wordpress.com/20 ... ntu-gutsy/

I have used turboprint before when drivers have not been available. You can find it here.http://www.turboprint.info/printers.html

Good Luck.

I got the Ubuntu driver from here http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL2.do but it doesn't seem to work with Felicia and Ibex. I downgraded to Hardy and that seemed to fix the problem for now. Thanks for the links, I'll check them out :D

http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cg ... ylus_SX105 is one link I saw. Not much there, but at least it was listed.
