no storage of settings NVIDIA X SERVER

Postby belzebub on Fri Dec 05, 2008 7:03 am

hi evryone,

can someone tell me how to store my settings in the X config backup file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup'. After each reboot the refresh rate is back on 60 instead of auto. When i reconfigure it, i always get the same message: " Unable to create new X config backup file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup' ". Merging ain´t possible, too. How to fix that problem ?

thanks,

belzebub

You have to run the program as root.

Alt/F2 then

Code: Select all
gksu nvidia-settings
for gnome

Code: Select all
kdesu nvidia-settings
for KDE
