This is my first post here! I have been thinking about making the leap from windows to Linux, quite a awhile ago, but I was always a little bit scared, but now I am decided to do it.
However, I am now certain of the version I want (Mint, of course
), but one big doubt remains...is my laptop good for Linux, I know that the general specs are ok, but some things like wi-fi, video card, card reader slot, etc, I simply don´t know!
PC specs:HP Pavilion zd8369EA
2Gb of RAM
Graphic card: ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 256MB
I am going to do a dual boot, so the transition can be smooth.
Just one more thing, does Mint have any support for windows mobile devices or is something that may apear? It's really important for me, I have tried Mandriva 2009, because they say they can sync with WM devices, but in my opinion, Mint is superior.
So, Linux masters, is it safe to try?
