17.2 no sound
Just updated to 17.2 from 17.1. 17.2 with old kernel works fine, with new kernel (3.16), no sound. Checked all settings and the sound card is seen as well as supposedly working correctly, but no sound. reverted back to 3.13 kernel and all is well. Sound card is a xonar DG. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Just same was like with you - I opened sound properties and found that sound card switched from Analog output to Digital output.
Check it. My sound card starts work fine.
