Suspend problem - does not exist in Ubuntu

Postby leonbrussels on Wed Dec 24, 2008 7:39 pm

I have got a really weird problem here, and I am not quite sure what it could be related to. I have been running Intrepid for a few months now and never had any problems with suspend or hibernate.

Now I installed LinuxMint and Suspend doesn't work anymore. Hibernate works fine. Any idea what the problem could be? I will try to reinstall Ubuntu shortly to see if it has to do with making a fresh install (I am not sure if I did anything to get sleep to work in Intrepid)

I know this may just be a question without an answer and I know the problem is weird but if anybody knows anything...

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Try in terminal, all these options:

* s2ram -f -a 3
* s2ram -f -a 2
* s2ram -f -a 1
* s2ram -f -p -m
* s2ram -f -p -s
* s2ram -f -m
* s2ram -f -s
* s2ram -f -p
* s2ram -f -a 1 -m
* s2ram -f -a 1 -s

Screw with the different combinations until you find one that works. Then in /etc/pm/config.d, make a file called config (text) with the following in it 'S2RAM_OPTS="-f"' but 1replace -f with the exact option you end up using.
