My touchpad isn't working on linux 17.2 on my asus transformer book T500LA.
I am currently using a work around which is to type
sudo modprobe -r psmouse
sudo modprobe psmouse proto=imps
into the terminal after every start up. And of course, multi touch doesn't work.
Is there any way to get my touchpad to function on lnux mint? It works just fine on Windows. Its pretty surprising and disappointing that something so basic doesn't work properly on this distro.

Re: Touchpad not working at all
if there's no fix, could someone at least show me how to make those commands run at start up?

Re: Touchpad not working at all
Might be a driver issue. First try the easy generic solutions:
a. Install the latest kernel from the 3.16 series:

(item 3, right column)
Then reboot.
b. When no improvement: install the latest kernel from the 3.19 series.
Then reboot.
c. When still no improvement: check for a newer BIOS / UEFI and when available, install it.
