I already made it I got to a guy that says here's a christmas present for the people who has this card. But at the end I installed what he said, with the help of the reply threads (for total ignorants like me) but at the end it didn't work :S (though I think I learned a few commands)

It's very hard for me or anyone to have a solution for every possible hardware (not saying that to excuse myself)
To those saying it's so much easier in Windows I can tell this is a field where Win has considearable difficulties too
Ill add this to my list of unsolved topics
In the meantime please run lsusb (with the stick connected of course :)) and post here

It becomes complicated when I have several persons asking for help in one topic - I mix you up
Not Only TV LV9H Hybrid ExpressCard + Ubuntu gave 7 hits in Polish on Google
2304:023e Linux gave 5 useless hits, without Linux it was mostly about quasars (astronomy) and
2304:023e Pinnacle gave four hits, one in Italian about our subject, the rest useless
The Italian one is quite new, but for openSUSE, but I think it should be possible to use that guide
I don't read Italian but I can follow the guide anyhow
At one stage the command is sudo zypper - forget about that you should do apt install build-essential should you try that solution
Blog post here
The google translate found here seems OK

i could not run the
sudo zypper install gcc make glibc-devel kernel-source dvb mercurial
command.

anyways I downloaded mercurial and dvd tuner and dvd apps before I continued. Any other ideas =D?

After installing Mint 8 and every media player that I can find ,not one of them finds my TV card. Pulse finds the audio chip but that's it except for one surprise. While checking Skype web cam settings what do I find in the cam options, my TV Card with it's correct model name ( not included in the list yet ).

Anyone want to explain this one ?????

I have done exactly whats described in the first post and entered the correct card no. in bttv. Although my capture card is found it doesn't seem to connect to anything except cheese and of course I can't do anything with tunning.!
Gnome radio also gives an error "dev not found".
Below I have listed what I hope is enough detail.

It's a shame Husse is no long with us as he would have pointed you in the right direction.

I'll not sure if this helps but I have card which is supported by the Kernel but refused to work even though it was fine in Win Vista..having said it was a fight to get it to work there too!

What I did discover which may help some people here is that I had to power down / remove card / reboot mint / shut down / power down / reroot and there was the my TV card!

Don't ask why as I don't know but it worked !

As for finding BTTV settings just google for BTTV and your card type. Thats how I found mine.

I still havn't routed the audio from TV time or zapping TV to my sound card or pulse yet but It is there and I have input....

Tv cards are quite a battle in Linux so be patient you will get there in the end.
