It's in synapic, but you need o have the privileges set correctly.
You need to have the privilege for using Audio Device to use it.
Go to Users and Groups and click unlock.
The click your user name and click Properties.
Now select the tab for Privileges.
Check the Box with something that says Use audio devices.
