Some sounds not working - HP dv6000

Postby avs262 on Wed Mar 04, 2009 10:46 pm

I recently switched from vista to linux. Everything is working great, but some sounds do not work. Startup-shutdown sounds work, amarok works. I tried to play some .wav and .mp3 files online, those did not work. I desperately need sound as I need it for work. I have spent hours today searching around and haven't found any solutions. Below is my computer specs

I did install an xp driver for my wireless, would that effect the sound?
