Felicia,Aspire One,Sony Ericsson mem card

Postby DJM on Tue Mar 17, 2009 8:24 am

I use:
Acer Aspire One 160 GB
Sony ericsson K630i.
The phone works fine as usb modem.( auto mode).
Problem is:
Both phone memory and phone card memory's free space are reported incorrectly.
Every time I delete a file, the free space is not recovered, even after emptying the trash can. So my card's free space is shrinking.
This prevents me from copying new files. I would really like to not to format the card.
This happens in 'Phone Mode'. 'File transfer mode' and 'Mass storage mode' don't mount correctly.
Thanks for any advice

I have another SonyEricsson and the space is freed but I use either 'File transfer mode' or 'Mass storage mode' that you say don't mount correctly.
What happens?
Can you add it to fstab? (If you don't know what I mean it means the answer is no - at least for the moment :))

Just to add to the topic I'm experiencing the same issue as DJM.
With a V640i.
Reports the file sizes incorrectly. Hmmmm
In both phone mode and file transfer mode. I can't get the drives to mount in mass storage which is what i used on xp.

Anything anyone can add to help will be appreciated but I'll go look up /fstab etc now,

Oh and I'm a total linux noob but I love mint and I'm never going back to windows!
