Matrox drivers ..

Hello comrades =D

I installed Linux Mint 6 in a pc's friend... and he has a matrox graphic board.

How can I install the drivers so I can use 3D power of Compiz n' stuff ?

I tried to install the driver.. it didnt work.. now what ? = \
what can I do ?

Doesn't the xserver-xorg-video-mga work for the video driver?

I would start here:

And then visit here:
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/drivers/

I did it... same error..

If this graphic board does not work.. I'll have to switch back to windows

that post its about the official drivers from matrox, the ones I used..

I dont know what to do anymore... I was wondering if the error was about something that was interfiering with the compiling process

I guess there is no resolution to my problem. I'm searching a lot at google, and nothing works... I dont want to get back to windows.. i'm loving Linux.. =/
