USB Overcurrent detected, now computer won't boot

Postby MsChevyKat on Sun Mar 29, 2009 10:09 pm

When restarting my computer I got this message:

USB overcurrent detected, will shut down in 15 seconds.

Computer shut down, I unplugged all USB devices, now computer won't turn on or boot. The led on the moboard is on, so I'm getting power there.

The Moboard is an Asus M3N78 pro, I'm running Felicia 64.

Thanks!

Try disconnecting the power cord from the power supply for a few minutes.

Fixed. In case this happens to anyone else, this was my cure:

Pulled out the battery to clear the CMOS.

Flashed the Bios.

Zip! Up and running again! :D
