USB HUB

Postby RKB on Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:59 am

Hi, Just wondering if anyone's got an Idea about this issue, which is totally un-related to LM.

We have just relocated to a new office and decided to treat ourselves to a couple of fancy screen towers with 4 port inbuilt USB hub. Firstly all of the USB items work when connected directly to the Computers USB posts. When the tower USB plug is connected to the Computer, the USB drive and mouse work fine in the 4 Tower Ports, but the keyboard does not. Unplug the Keyboard from the Tower and Plug it into the computer and the keyboard works fine. The Keyboard is a Logitech Illuminated.

Cheers

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The only thing that comes to mind is the amount of power that one usb port has and as your keyboard is illuminated, that might be the problem. Try to disconnect the drive and mouse from the hub and only use the kb. Might be that will work.
