Multi-Core Support

Forgive me if this is the wrong place for this, but it seems the most fitting place I can find.

I was just wondering, how does Linux Mint support multi-core processors? Does it have coding that allows it to divide large tasks into multiple smaller, more manageable chunks, thus taking advantage of a multi-core computer's ability to multitask?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Welcome to the forum! Multi- Core processors are supported by the kernel. The load is carried by both cores.

Not my question, exactly. I realize that the kernal supports multi-core processors, my question is, does Mint take advantage of them?

And thanks for the welcome. ^_^
