Problem accessing external hard drive

Postby dom920 on Mon May 11, 2009 2:17 pm

Hi everyone-

Whenever I try to access my freeagent seagate external hard drive i get the following message:

Unable to mount the volume 'FreeAgent Drive'

Unable to mount location

DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

any idea what's going on?

I haven't had any trouble before.

Thanks for your time:)

list the contense of /media directory. I think you might have a folder like "disk" or "disk-1" hanging out. I'd delete the folder. See what happends. Also make sure it mounts correctly in Windows first if its NTFS.
