Hi,
If I were you, I would open my case and write down the model number of the motherboard. Then I would go to the Manufacturer's Website, find the Support link, find the Motherboard model, and view or download the User Manual. Some even have links to the compatibility web page.
I know from personal experience, that ASUS, Intel, Gigabite, support sites have ALL the info on what RAM is compatible for their models.
IMHO - Don't take an assistants word for Gospel ! pc4200 --> pc6400 ???
