Hello,
I installed Linux Mint 6 on a friend's laptop, and everything seems to work well; except the USB-mouse. The laptop has got a touch pad that works fine, but the USB-mouse is hard to use since it jumps across the screen in jerky leaps. Really sluggish.
I tried searching for a solution, but didn't find anything relevant.
So any help as to what the problem might be is welcome.
Thanks!

Re: Jerky/laggy mouse pointer with USB-mouse
The USB-mouse I am using is an optical mouse by the way. When I plug it in AFTER LM has started, there is no response. No red light flashing or nothing. The mouse is just dead.
When I boot up with the USB-mouse in, it works, but the cursor movement is very slow and choppy.
Anyone know what might be wrong?
