Replacing A NIC

Post by pmgant »

I have a PC running Linux Mint Felicia to repair, the network interface has died. If I replace the card is it a 'plug & play' install or do I need to do something to unbond the OS from the old card and bond it to the new hardware?

It should just work. If it doesn't go to Menu, Control Center, Hardware, Hardware Drivers and install the suggested driver.

Thanks, job done.

It was easy but I wanted to check first before I started working on someone else's machine.
