Hey everybody,
Thanks to the following post, I was able to get my Sound Blaster X-Fi XTreme Gamer sound card working in Mint, sort of:
http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=29519
But... I get no bootup sounds or sound from Gnome MPlayer or VLC. The sound in the default movie player works, but it gets stuck repeating a loop of sound. Could this be caused by a conflict between ALSA and OSS? If so, how do I fix it? Should I remove OSS?
Thanks,
Jeff
