WUSB11v4 wireless adapter

Postby jleach50 on Sat Aug 08, 2009 3:19 pm

Hi, I have a Dell Latitude D600 laptop. I am using a Linksys WUSB11v4 adapter(wireless). I am also using Linux Mint 7 Gloria KDE. I have used the Gnome version. I have the required driver for this adapter. It worked using Gnome, but I switched to KDE and now I cannot get it to take the driver. Using the Windows Wireless drivers in System manager. It tells me it is an invalide driver, but I used it in Gnome. Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The Gloria KDE uses Gnome NM so there should be no difference
What driver do you try to use?
This is an USB dongle so post the result of lsusb (l is a lower case L)
This seems to be a dongle where only ndiswrapper works

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

I got it to work. I was just using the file alone. When I placed the folder containg the drivers and loaded it, it worked. Thanks Husse. I don't know which I like best, Gnome or KDE. Seems things are a little slower in KDE. I am running this on a Dell Latitude D600 though. Joe
