Hello.
I really hoped this edition of linux Mint would fix this issue, but it seems not.
The problem is this: The audio works, but when I insert my headset I can hear the sound from both my laptop speakers and the headset. As I figure it, the muting part is driver-based and not hardware-based as in older versions of sound cards.
Does anybody run linux Mint on the same type of machine as me? Does it work for you?
Any ideas?

check to see if changing the audio driver solves the problem. You should have 2 of them: alsa and some other.
