More likely it points to a user touchpad or mouse configuration error in the x-server settings..

--you can guess this by the fact that the touchpad replicates mouse functions (click:tap, scroll:touch or button up/down or left/right). Hence you may have to turn off the touchpad to use a mouse and visa-versa

- The touchpad it is an Elantech touchpad but it is not recognised as such by the kernel. It detected as a “ExplorerPS/2”, not as a proper touchpad.
