PCMCIA TV Card

Postby mikpap on Tue Jun 12, 2007 3:45 am

Is there any way to install a hybrid avermedia tv + fm pcmcia card (E506)? In the official site there is only drivers for other distros (none for debian or debian derived - ubuntu or mint). Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Yes this one is not Debian friendly. I found a description of an install procedure that should work with Ubuntu. No guarantee given, proceed with caution :)

This specific wiki has gone under my attention 3 days ago but I wasn' able to pull it through. I am stack on the hg command. How can I install it? apt-get install hg doesn't work. Is there a repositoriy that I can add or any other way to overcome this obstacle?

I installed mercurial (sudo apt-get install mercurial) package and hg command now works fine. Unfortunately the tv quality isn't too good (rather pure I must say). Anyway, I found a solution though. Now I have to find out how to connect my cell phone (Nokia N70) and my pocket pc (Dell Axim x51v).
