Other members have used this to fix their Intel video problems:
Open mintUpdate -> Edit -> Preferences, click Level 4 Visible. Reload mintUpdate.
You will see xserver-xorg-video-intel, click the box to install, once installed -> reboot.

If you can add a graphics card preferably an nvidia type, that will be the more satisfactory solutionpkh911 wrote: Do I need to install a new graphics card for Mint 7 to function properly. Or is there a repository for drivers.
--it will be able to run with the nvidia binary drivers and would handle 3D better (compiz effects)
