Then in the Terminal write this:
cd /home/XXXX/Desktop/alsa-driver-1.0.21 (XXXX its the name of the owner for example: John)
When You hit enter type this:
sudo apt-get install build-essential ncurses-dev
When its Done type this:
./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
And when this is done:
make
This will take u couple of minutes so w8 and type:
sudo make install
When this is Ready in the Terminal type:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
On the last row type:
options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire
Image
Restart your precious :P and do this:
Right Click on the Icon sound next to the Clock and click Open Volume Control, then Preferences and Check all the boxes and my settings are like this:

Go to Control Center from Menu and go to Hardware - Sound and my Settings are like this:

Some users do claim that their Skype work well with PulseAudio, but it is difficult to believe.
The reason is simple. There are many bug reports and threads on Ubuntu forum.

My Skype works well without PulseAudio.

What does a microphone input for an ordinary microphone look like? I have a Canon ZR90 and I want to plug-in a microphone to the camera but I do not know what a microphone port on a camera looks like. Can somebody tell me?
