USB Keyboard and Mouse not detected after install

Postby mich on Sun Oct 11, 2009 2:00 am

In livecd (md5sum okay) mode, the usb keyboard and mouse is detected and installation is okay.

Reboot after installation, selection of grub menu is still okay
when in GDM, the usb keyboard and mouse is not detected.

Hard reset and reboot into Debian, everything works fine.
Installed openSUSE, tested and everything works fine.
Re-installed Linux Mint, same problem.

Any advise ?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Re: USB Keyboard and Mouse not detected after install - Updates

Linux Mint magically recognised my usb keyboard and mouse in a third re-install

However, I noticed that only 2.6.28-11-generic is available now, which is currently what I am using to keep this post.

The first 2 install does gives me another kernel (2.6.30.xx) in the grub menu, which i booted into and got into the usb keyboard and mouse not detected situation.

Is this a know issue ?
