What happens when you go to restart the system from hibernation?
Do you just get a black screen? Or an error message, perhaps?

Also -- What is the size of your swap partition?

Is it as larger as or larger than your 2Gb of RAM?

Hi

Run this command in terminal[Menu-->Terminal]

Code: Select all

free -m
This shows your memory, including swap file information.

Run this command to check your swap

Code: Select all

free | grep Swap
Post the outputs of both commands here and we will see if everything is OK.

Cheers
mick
