USB VGA Adapter (EVGA UV-12)

Postby paul_dee on Wed Nov 25, 2009 3:09 pm

Hi guys,

I am not a Linux newbie, however, I have not worked on too many driver related things with linux. I would like to have dual display setup on my notebook (which comes with a Intel X3100 which is blacklisted in linux) so my alternative solution was to use my USB - VGA (DVI) adapter, even though linux sees the device being plugged in (/var/log/messages) it does not load any driver/module for it. I am wondering if anyone here has done anything similar, or where I would even start to look?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Judging from this and this and other web pages I don't think it works under Linux

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Not the answer I was hoping for, but I guess we'll have to wait until a time or someone that possible knows how to get this going :)

Thanks for your reply.
