using .exe file in ndiswrapper when all it wants is .inf

Postby pjsmetana on Sun Dec 06, 2009 1:38 pm

I'm trying to get a windows wireless driver (sp45515.exe) to work with ndiswrapper. All ndiswrapper asks for is an .inf file. I ran the .exe in wine, opened its file, and pulled the .inf from there, but that comes back as "Invalid Driver!" so I figure I must be doing something wrong.

Any ndis gurus out there?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

What's your version of Wine, and what's the chipset in use? You can try to unpack it in a virtual machine.

Tnx.
