installing ge camera

hello, i have linux mint 7 gloria and wanting to see if anyone has used a ge a1050 camera with it yet. is there anything i can do to get it to work it when i plug it in the usb and turn it on it says
you have just inserted a medium with digital photos.
choose what application to launch. but it will not let me pull down the box it says no applications found.
dont know what to use to get it to work

hey, i got it to going! if your camera is usb and downloads like it is another harddrive you can go to computer on your desktop and when you get in it there will be another drive show up click it, and mine has a folder called DCIM click that and then i have another folder called 100GEDSC click that and theres your pictures you can save them then where ever you want them to go on your computer.
Hope this helps someone else learning to use linux mint
